A Tough Week for Boys Tennis

The Boys Tennis teams did very good this week. A total of 3 games for both the Varsity and the Frosh Soph teams. All the player tried their hardest to try and pull a win for our school.

The Varsity team first played against El Camino at El Camino on March 29, 2011. It was a clear win for San Mateo winning [6-1]. Many of our players were happy for winning and it motivates them for their next game against Mills at Mills on March 30, 2011. It was a rare event happening on a Wednesday but our players pulled through a tough match with yet another win [4-3]! Such performance is unmatched by other schools. The Varsity teams had their last game against Burlingame at Burlingame on March 31, 2011. It was a tough loss, losing [2-5], but it is still something they should be proud about.

The Frosh Soph teams played the exact same teams as Varsity. They lost to El Camino [3-4]; it was one of the toughest losses so far. But they still were able to come back against their game against Mills. Mills is a team that we always have trouble against, but we still lost [5-2]. During the game against Burlingame, San Mateo lost [6-1] as well but it isn’t something we should look down on.

Make sure to continue checking up on Boys Tennis the following week!
