2011-2012: Website Wins Top Honors at Press Club

SMHS’s Journalism website took home top honors at the San Francisco Peninsula Press Club awards this month.
In competition with 11 high schools on the Peninsula including traditional winners Gunn and Palo Alto, www.thebearcat.net swept the category, capturing a gold for Website Design and another gold for Website Content.
On hand to accept the awards and pictured at left were Web Editor Jonathan Slowey and Editors in Chief Vikash Morar and Victoria Xiao. “It was great,” said Victoria. “I’m really proud of Jonathan. He did most of the work!”
