Upcoming Senior Events

There are many events that our seniors have to look forward to this year, on top of being months away from a new chapter in their lives. Things like Senior Activity Day, the Boat Dance, Senior Takeover Day, Graduation, and Grad Night are on all their agendas.

Senior Activity Day is a day dedicated to providing seniors with a fun and stress-free day the football field. It is a great place to bond with your friends or even make new friends. Senior Kelly Ghiorso says, “I’m really excited for Senior Activity Day and curious to see what surprises they have in store for us!”

Senior Takeover Day is yet another day where seniors rule the school. They arrange with a friend and their favorite teacher to teach a certain class for the day. But usually it ends up as playing games and everyone looks forward to the candy that some students give out.

As the only dance for just seniors, the Boat Dance will be filled with crazy dance moves and awesome jams. Senior Cami Mauricio says, “I have been practicing twerking and can’t wait to show off at the Boat Dance!”

The event towards which most seniors have a bittersweet attitude is graduation. Most seniors are stoked for graduation, as it is a new beginning in their life. Although, those going away to college, leaving family and friends behind, will be sad to leave them.

Grad Night is greatly anticipated because it is a surprise, although, there is an idea of what it might be, seeing as events have been repeated in the past. Senior Becky George says, “Grad Night will be really fun, like one last hoorah with our entire senior class.”

Overall, seniors have so many fun things to look forward to during the second semester. With just a couple months of school left, they should enjoy it while they can.
