Girl’s Varsity Soccer Season Wrap Up

The Girl’s Varsity Soccer season came to an end on February 14. Senior Kelly Ghiorso said, “ I really wanted to make it to CCS this yeah but unfortunately we did not make it.” Although these 18 girls fought hard all season, they couldn’t quite make it as far as they hoped. Freshman Taylor Doi said, “I think we worked well as a team and really bonded with one another. Because of this, we got better as the season went on. One of my biggest goals this season was to start on varsity as a freshman and I accomplished that so I was really happy.” For some of the seniors it was a sad ending to their high school soccer career and some may continue on with soccer later in life. Kelly said, “I’m so sad that it’s over because it was my last game. I mean I guess I’ll come back as a super senior to play again. Just kidding! But I will probably play in college.” Even though the season didn’t end as the girls had hoped, they still ended with friendships that will last a lifetime.
