Last Spring Sports Rally

This spring sports rally was better than ever, with all sorts of different activities and important matters to address. It was jungle themed and had a great introduction which really got the people intrested  This rally defenitely proved that a PAC is not nessecary for a great time.

With the hard work of our current spirit commisioners, Ben Lim and Micheal Torbati, along with the assistance of leadership, we were able to have “the best Gym Rally ever,” Dylan Babbs (12) exlcaimed. “ The Harlem Shake was my favorite part and I always wanted to witness one in reaL life.

This rally began with intoducing next years new Spirit Commisioners, Russel Zych andMason Otus. They were carried in by four lucky seniors, though a pass of cold ice, while jungle music played furiously in the background. “I cant wait to begin being spirit commisioner next year” said Mason Otus. (11)“It seems thrilling to get to plan out what goes on in the rallies. Ben Lim thought otherwise. “I have never been so stressed out in my life,” he said. “This had to be, by far, the most stressfull rally to plan, but in the end, like any other rally it was completely worth it

“After a quick dance, and short performance from the band, SMHS got straight into the springsports.  The track team got to play against the teachers in a quick game in which every step was measued though a pedometer. The teachers got away with four times as many steps, proving they probobly have what it takes to run track. “The game was rigged, but I still had fun going up against the teachers,” said Micheal Beery (12). “ It always exciting having these short games against the teachers. Even golf team had a change to get some attention with their water baloon relay race.

In adition to all the games,  there were prom proposals, dance team got to performed their usual outstanding performances, and the seniors won their screaming contest for the last sports rally of their lives.

“Im really going to miss wacthing these rallies,” said Becky George “I bet they don’t have anyhting as fun in college. Overall, the students, teachers, and thosee involved in the rally determined it was a great success.
