Striving for Their Goals

The baseball team is getting ready for another season. This year SMHS will have both a varsity and a JV team, unlike last year where there was only a varsity team. Ryan Fujinaga, 11, said, “I like having two teams more, because it gives the freshmen and some of the sophomores some time to prepare for when they make varsity. The varsity team is also more focused and more mature than last year, be

PICCbaseballScause it is a much smaller team, so it is easier to communicate with all of the players.”

Baseball is playing an estimate of around 27 games, and their main goal is to win this season, and make it to CCS. Another big change for the baseball team is that they are in a different division from last year, so this will give them a chance to play different teams and players than in previous years.

Danny Millstein, 11, said, “The team is more focused this year, probably because there are two teams, but we are ready and pumped up to win.” Focused and ready is exactly what these boys need to be if they want to win league and CCS.
