Introducing Ms. Campagnet-Reed, our New French Teacher

rijhcampagnetr

Teacher: Ms. Campagnet-Reed

Room number: A146

What subject(s) do you teach: French 3, English/ELD, private language tutoring

What is your favorite part about teaching?:  “My favorite parts of teaching include seeing students achieve those “aha” moments when they finally “get” how a certain element of the language works, and begin using it without thinking about it. I also love hearing my students take a verbal risk and speak French, even if it’s not perfect. I try to make them comfortable enough to do that.”

What are your goals for this year?: My goals for this year are to help my students become more accustomed to speaking in French, and to develop their writing skills to perform better, whether they decide to advance to higher levels such as French 4H and the AP French test, or just to be able to express themselves well in French.

What is your favorite place to travel?: I love traveling to France, where I have studied and visited, and I also love discovering new places I have never been to.

What is your favorite restaurant?: “There are so many great restaurants in the Bay Area that it is hard to choose a favorite. One that I like a lot is Ben Tre in South San Francisco (Vietnamese).”

What is your favorite movie?: “I’d have to say that the Pirates of the Caribbean series is one of my favorites.”

What is your favorite animal?: “I love all types. One that comes to mind is the snowy egret, because it is so graceful and beautiful.”
