FIFA 17: Game Review

FIFA 17 is widely praised by critics and people alike!

FIFA 17 is widely praised by critics and people alike!

Fifa 17 is finally out, and it’s better than ever. The latest installment to the FIFA games has finally been released on Sept. 27 after endless anticipation and excitement.

Fifa 17’s graphics are beautiful and work flawlessly. It’s worthy of being called a commendable game, because EA has added a mix of details into the game that is effective in immersing the players. Thanks to the game engine, Frostbite, the game now contains amazing effects; such as improved lighting, shadows and animation.

EA deserves a big pat on the back for its new upgrade: “The Journey.” It is a story-like part of the game in which you play as a character named Alex Hunter. The story progresses from his childhood until the point where he  reaches success in the Premier League. One of the most appealing factors about this part of the game is that you get to control Alex’s choices, and this affects your reputation in the game.

EA has also improved the most loved part of the game, “Ultimate Team.” This is a special mode in the game in which the players become the “manager” of a team that they customize, and the main goal is taking that team to the top of the division by using the players they have formed to reach new heights. They have improved this by making the overall gameplay run very smoothly. This game is a lot better compared to last year’s laggy gameplay, which was caused by frame rate problems. This year, thankfully, EA has fixed this issue.

Brandon Yermash, a freshman, loves the game, he says, “It’s very realistic, the new engine Frostbite is awesome because it makes the game better and more realistic. I like playing with my favorite players like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Overall, I rate this game a 10/10.”

Even adults love the game,Jerome Nillo, an SMHS parent, played the game. He says, “I actually knew how to control the game. It’s really easy and the graphics are amazing and I recommend this game to anyone.” Although I won 3-0 in kickoff mode, it’s still very good for a beginner.

One thing I want to point out is that although the single player mode runs smoothly, the online mode can be laggy at times.

Overall, the game is amazing, and I totally recommend it. Both long-time fans and first-time players will equally enjoy the improved aspects and intriguing gameplay of Fifa 17.
