“The most exciting thing about the art show is seeing the high caliber of work done by SMHS Art students and their pride when they see their work.” Ms. Yapp, one of the dedicated art teachers at SMHS, states.

Final preparations are already being made for the Student Art Show: Drawing 1 students are finishing up self portraits; AP Studio Art students are working on their concentration section of their portfolios; and 3-D Art students are creating interpretive sculptures based off of researched artists. Art and Multimedia students are working hard to get the word out for the upcoming art show and are currently creating posters, flyers and invitations to publicize the exciting art show.

Milah Rosove, an SMHS Art and Multimedia student, looks forward to the upcoming Art Show, “I enjoy being able to see all the different types of creativity that is presented by students at the Art Show. I am excited to be presenting my piece for the art show and being able to express my ideas on a poster without strict guidelines.”

Stop by the show to see spectacular artwork created by talented Bearcats! They have all worked very hard to make this show possible and it is an event you don’t want to miss!
