Chloe Kim: The 17 Year Old Phenomenon

As the Winter Olympics have started, many young athletes have entered the competition with high hopes of winning a Gold Medal, the ultimate reward for all their training . From the United States, there are two athletes who are 17 years old, the youngest age possible to compete in the Olympics. Vincent Zhou and Chloe Kim are teenage athletes to represent the red, white and blue. Kim has set herself up for a fantastic run, bringing in USA’s Gold Medal in the halfpipe.

 

Chloe Kim has been shocking  her audience in her snowboarding prowess. Taking up snowboarding when she was 4, Kim has been honing  her skills over a span of 13 years, In 2016, when Kim was 15, she landed the back-to-back 1080 turn, which is turning spinning three times in the air every time she jumped from the halfpipe. audiences her own age and beyond were mesmerized at the accomplishment, so  was no surprise when Kim got selected to compete for Team USA  in the 2018 Winter Olympics. Still having 11 days left until the closing ceremony for the WInter Olympics, Kim has left us with high expectations. With a Gold Medal secured, she is looking for another medal or two, be it Gold, Silver, or Bronze, Kim will never cease to amaze us.
