Marcus Peters traded to the Rams

The NFL offseason has begun, meaning NFL teams are doing all they can to attract the top players in the league to join their team.  Early in the offseason, Kansas City shocked the football world  by sending one of their best players Marcus Peters, to the Los Angeles Rams.

Marcus Peters has cemented himself as one of the paramount players in the NFL . During his tenure as cornerback with the Kansas City Chiefs, Peters led the team to a good start. They were 6-0, looking to go for a 7th win. The hot streak came to an abrupt stop, when the Chiefs lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers  by  a score of 19-13. This was the turning point for the once red hot Kansas City side, as  they began to lose many games thereafter. Even though  the team was performing poorly, Peter continued to put down respectable stats. During the  past season, Peters  forced 4 fumbles and had 5 interceptions. Although his interceptions were not up to par with previous seasons,  his fumble average was amazing considering he was a cornerback.

Peters has been traded to the Rams, a team that surprisingly made the playoffs and amazed everybody. Even on this fantastic run to the Superbowl,  the Rams were desperately in need of an experienced defensive player, and this trade was the perfect decision. As the season nears for the  Rams, they should feel confident in Peters, as he will provide a solid base for their already amazing defense.
