Bearcats Organize San Mateo’s First High School Hackathon

The first hackathon for San Mateo high schoolers will take place in January 2017. A diverse set of approximately 200 students — all of different skill levels — will congregate in the headquarters of tech company Informatica, located in Redwood City, on Saturday, Jan. 14 and Sunday, Jan. 15 to participate in a 24-hour hacking marathon. A hackathon is any event where hackers get together to build or create something based on a task or theme relating to the event.
