What do you do as a physical therapist? I work in a sports orthopaedic center, so I work mainly with muscles, bones and joints. I see injuries as small as ankle sprains up to things like post-op knee replacements. I work on injuries through manual therapy or therapeutic exercise. What is manual therapy? SMHS’s Journalism website took home top honors at the San Francisco Peninsula Press Club awards this month. In competition with 11 high schools on the Peninsula including traditional winners Gunn and Palo Alto, www.thebearcat.net swept the category, capturing a gold for Website Design and another gold for Website Content. On hand to accept the awards and pictured at left were Web Editor Jonathan Slowey and Editors in Chief Vikash Morar and Victoria Xiao. “It was great,” said Victoria. “I’m really proud of Jonathan.
