Girl’s Varsity Soccer Season Wrap Up

The Girl’s Varsity Soccer season came to an end on February 14. Senior Kelly Ghiorso said, “ I really wanted to make it to CCS this yeah but unfortunately we did not make it.” Although these 18 girls fought hard all season, they couldn’t quite make it as far as they hoped. For fourteen seniors this was the last high school soccer season, a successful season with lots of fun and amazing talent. As a team, they worked extensively and diligently together to be the best that they can. Senior Sergio Rivera says, “My biggest goal this season was to look like David Beckham on the field. On Wednesday December 5, San Mateo Boys Varsity team battled Serra, an all-boys Catholic school. The game was evenly matched and both teams fought for the win, but Serra came out on top.
