Bearcats Line Up for Another Football Season

The Bearcats are at it again, getting ready for another competitive fall football season. After a long summer of football practices the bearcats are gearing up for this season’s games. JSA Members Go to the Fall State Overnight Convention

Akshaya Natarajan, a junior and leader of SMHS’ JSA chapter, organized our school’s trip to the Fall State convention. A “chapter” refers to an individual school’s club. The convention was located at a Marriot in Santa Clara, California. Over 800 JSA members attended from Northern California’s JSA chapters. There were so many debate topics, the possibilities felt endless. During breakfast, lunch, and dinner, students could decide to walk to any restaurant they wanted to go to and were encouraged to make new friends from other JSA chapters.
