Splashing Into a New Season

Our Bearcats are preparing for another water polo season, strapping on their caps and jumping into the deep end. The girls and boys water polo teams are back and are preparing for a season full of competition. Our Lady Bearcats Varsity team has changed a lot since last year. Many of the experienced players graduated,  leaving the team with five returning players for this year’s season. Girls WoPo continues to only have a varsity team because of the lack of participants. Gearing Up for Another Softball Season

Throwing themselves back into the game, softball players suit up to get back and play. San Mateo High School girls get ready for another year of softball playing more games than last year, and practicing twice as hard. Gina Titus, senior, captain for the SMHS Varsity Softball teams said, “It’s going to be a tough season, we are missing one of our starting players, but we plan to go out and give it our all.” Titus is the starting pitcher for the team, and is ready to lead the team to victory. “I’ve been playing since I was four, and…
